Llamas and Gypsy Horses

Middlebe acres is owned by Bill and Jan DeAtley. The farm sits on a hill in the beautiful rolling farmland southwest of Madison outside of Mount Horeb, WI.
After leaving the corporate world in Connecticut and relocating back to our roots (the Midwest), llamas were the answer as to what would fill our days and pastures. We have a herd of 32 which have been selected or bred for quality fiber and correct conformation. Our llamas have gone to shows, parades, nursing homes and day care facilities.
Gypsy horses were a later addition to our farm setting. This breed of small draft horses have been bred for years by Gypsies in England and Ireland. They are bred for color, an abundance of feathers on the legs, long manes and tails. Above all they must be a gentle horse with a good temperament. We purchased two mares in 2002, each of which has produced a beautiful colt.
Visitors are always welcome. Stop in and see our herd.
